少し前の話になりますが、Forensic linguistics(法言語学)という分野に興味があったので、初級者向けの本を読んでみました。できる範囲はまだまだ限られていますが、言語学、特に意味論が実社会で活用されてるという点が面白いなと思いました。文字に起こした時の問題、つまり文字になった言葉からたくさんの情報が失われてしまう部分なんかは、取り調べなどの大事な場面だけではなく、ニュース記事などでも日常的に起きていることで、言語活動の重要性を改めて感じました。
